FOOD DISTRIBUTION PROGRAMME IN FLOODED AREA, ASSAM

Introduction

There are many districts in Assam that are currently flooded. People and animals are almost in poor condition. There is no food and accommodation. So we took Gohpur, a town in the Biswanath district of Assam, which is still flooded. We decided to distribute food to the people for a little help. The village was deprived of government facilities.

As per the plan, we left for Gohpur on 11/07/2 024 along with food items for more than 100 families. From Biswanath to Gohpur was about 61 k.m., from there also a very backward area Mintu Ghat. We started our journey by machine boat from Mintu Ghat for about two hours. The water depth is about 30 feet. My team and I went through the water to Tutia Sapori village. The people were very happy to see us and helped us to carry the goods. They told us that no one was going to help like us. We told them that we were going to help them on behalf of Shining Souls (Trust). They thanked our trust.

We were very happy to help the flood victims and put a smile on their faces. About 100 families received assistance according to our budget. The tribal people living in the remote areas of Gohpur were very happy to see us. We had never taken a boat like this before, it was a kind of courage. Yet we succeeded.

We purchased the food items according to the budget, we supplied them with about nine types of products. It was among them...

1) Rice - 2 kg (approx)

2) Lentils - 1 kg

3) Nutella- 1 pound

4) Lifebouy - 1

5) Mastered oil - ½ litre

6) Salt - ½ K.g

7) Potatoes - 1 kg

8) Biscuits 1 packet

9) A bottle of water

There were reporters from various channels who came to cover this work of our Shining Soul team in the Media. Some of them were local portal channels and some were Satelite Channels. Our initiative was appreciated by every Moto News channel and promoted Shining Souls.
